Clinical Training

Our clinical training services have expanded, with a NEW team of experienced Clinical Trainers!!

 

We offer a range of awareness and competence-based training for teams working with Clients with complex medical needs, and organisations who support people with medical needs.

 

All attendees will receive a certificate of their attendance and appropriate competence documents on completion of the course(s). All our training will come with course objectives and a course outline.

Physiotherapists Training

Some of the courses we offer are:  ​​​

  • Use of oxygen   

  • Asthma management  

  • Medication administration practice  

  • Epilepsy awareness and emergency medication

  • Enteral feeding (gastrostomy) including management of an enteral device, feeding and administrating medication via enteral feeding devices.  

  • Suctioning  (Nasopharyngeal, Oropharyngeal) including management of suction machine, indications for suction and suction technique practicalities.

  • Respiratory physiotherapy (manual techniques, cough assist, VEST, other airway clearance devices)

  • Tracheostomy management 

  • Ventilator management including the operation of the device, correct application and troubleshooting

We can provide bespoke training to meet your Client's individual needs. Our trainers will complete an assessment of need visit to your Client, to fully understand your Client’s needs before providing any bespoke training. Along with this training, we can assess competency of the support worker(s), however this may involve extra visits to assess the competency. In packages where there is a team leader or senior support workers, they may be trained to assess their colleagues’ competencies. 

Training can be delivered to individuals / teams virtually or in person.

These services can be offered alongside Case Management Services or separately, and COVID safe measures will be in place (regular flow testing and risk assessments are carried out).
